Closing Time

As we boarded the plane leaving Los Angeles to head back to New York City I knew we were leaving behind something special. As a group, we all had our individual takeaways from this trip, varying based off of our individual experiences, and our individuals life goals. This trip for me however, planted the small seed I needed. The thought of moving to L.A. has always crossed my mind, but it has always been something I said I’d eventually do. This trip has planted the foundation I needed to know I can do that a lot sooner. Many of us were sad to go, but I’m glad we all had the experience we did. I know every piece of advice we received will be instilled in all of my work from here on out.

Being able to meet with alumni from Hofstra who are now working at notable companies in this industry was an honor; knowing these people took the time out of their schedule to speak to us and offer us any piece of insight they had or wished they had was something I will use to my advantage. Many of these connections might give us our first start in L.A. Our professors and everyone who made this trip possible have given us something we will value forever. Who knows, maybe many of us will be speaking to the future Hofstra in L.A. class.
